bow valley house
canmore, AB

Nestled in the Canadian Rockies, this house sits among historic Canmore ski chalets. Designed as a full-time residence, the 2375 sf home needed to be particularly efficient as the local water table prohibited any basement space. Taking advantage of key views to the Rockies while maintaining privacy on a narrow inner-city lot was essential.

A short building season required the home to be weather-tight very quickly. To meet this requirement, Bensonwood was selected for their high-quality off-site fabrication techniques and their unique delivery capability. Bensonwood precision-crafted the home using state-of-the-art CNC machinery and delivered the panelized components directly to the site. Bensonwood also managed the on-site assembly of the weather-tight shell in ten days. The process for this home including design, construction documentation, permitting, manufacturing, shipping and assembly required less than 6 months.
